“Shared Secrets” is an interactive, values-driven panel bringing together senior leaders from Toastmasters International and Business Network International (BNI) to explore the principles that sustain strong, people-centered organizations.
This is not a comparison of models, but a dialogue about shared leadership values: integrity, respect, service and excellence.
Through storytelling, real experiences and practical insights, panelists will demonstrate how effective communication, intentional listening, strategic thinking and meaningful networking can work together to create real impact.
Participants will leave with more than inspiration. They will gain practical tools, clearer direction and a deeper understanding of how Toastmasters skills translate into professional growth and sustainable leadership.

Meet the Moderator and Panelists
Katia Burdet, DTM
Moderator
Katia Burdet is a dedicated Toastmaster since 2012, having served as Club President, Area Director, Division Director, and Program Quality Director, and today the District Director of District 109. She has led strategic district initiatives focused on education, member experience, and leadership development. In her professional life, she is a Purchasing and Facility Manager, TEDx Coach, and Leadership Trainer, with a degree in Management Engineering. She is also a proud mother and former competitive figure skater.
Claudio Messina

Claudio Messina is an author, trainer and entrepreneur with expertise in relationship marketing. He has been Executive Director of BNI Italia since 2011, and in 2020-2021 was President of the Franchise Advisor Council Italy, having previously served as District Director Italy. He is the author of “Business a Tavola” and “Nutrire la Relazione,” and co-author of “La Nuova Economia delle Relazioni.” He has trained over 30,000 entrepreneurs, and was a speaker at TedX® Spoleto 2021.
Pascal Dicrot

Pascal Dricot blends international corporate leadership with deep insight into human behaviour. As former Acting Vice President at Siemens Indonesia, he led teams under pressure and through transformation. Today, he works as a business consultant and certified Psychosocial Counsellor, helping leaders communicate with clarity and impact. A member of BNI for seven years and Partner Director, he also serves as Division Director F in Toastmasters, bringing together leadership, presence, and conscious communication.
Francesco Fedele

Francesco discovered Toastmasters in 2011 and immediately became an active member of Toastmasters Roma. He has served in every club officer role, chartered four clubs, and founded an advanced club. He was the first District Director of District 109 (2018–2019), leading it to Smedley Distinguished status. He later served as Region Advisor for Region 10 which encompasses all of Europe and parts of Northern Africa and the Middle East. Today he serves on the Board of Directors of Toastmasters International as Region 10 International Director. Professionally, he is a trainer and EU project coordinator based in Rome.A district leader for six years, he was the first District Director of District 109 (2018–2019), leading it to Smedley Distinguished status.
